The Company is one of the largest and most well-respected market research companies in the world, and they are currently looking for an experienced leader to manage the Global Research Sciences team.

Position Overview:
The Senior Vice President of the Research Sciences team will be responsible for the strategic vision and direction of the worldwide function and for helping the Company continue growing its existing business and launch new businesses based on sound research methods. This person must also be able to synthesize and explain technical issues in a way that can be understood by others at the Company and by clients.

This position will report directly to the Chief Research and Analytics Officer. Focus areas include the specification and monitoring of sampling and projection techniques, calibration, definition of report measures, and approval for release of new data bases. This team is actively involved in designing new consumer trackers and the development/maintenance of approaches to evaluate the accuracy and representativeness of POS and consumer data inputs and outputs. Research Sciences employees are also engaged in testing new methods of data collection to identify breakthrough techniques at the cutting edge of the research industry.

Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience within client service or consumer insights with a market research Company, consulting firm, manufacturer or retailer, with a strong statistical or modeling focus
  • Master's degree in a related field requiring strong quantitative skills required. PhD is a plus.
  • Excellent survey design and analysis skills, including sampling and questionnaire design; and development of survey weighting schemes.
  • Deep understanding of latest approaches to reducing or eliminating bias associated with non-probability sampling and quasi-experimentation.
  • Proven expertise in using advanced statistical and modeling techniques in the analysis of POS and consumer data to help drive business decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced quantitative methods and/or delivery of value-added solutions such as forecasting and marketing mix modeling.
  • Travel typically 15%-20%
